To develop life long learners by providing the basic instructions for students including those with special needs to succeed in the areas of Science, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Math, Technology and the Humanities.

Employ a team of professionals who are committed to the implementation of a rigorous, coherent, standards- based curriculum and the Chicago Reading Initiative, facilitated through the use of hands on inquiry based learning to develop all students, including those with special needs to be life-long learners.
